What an exciting summer so far!!!

So...lets play catch up...here is the summer thus far in a nutshell...

- April 26 - Chris ran his first marathon!!! I am so incredibly proud of him! He has always wanted to do a marathon, especially since he was diagnosed with diabetes. Training was tough but he was able to monitor his blood sugar while on his runs and he was able to accomplish a big dream of his! Congrats hubby!

- May 3 - I had my last Relay For Life event this weekend. Things are now starting to wind down at work. It has been nice to have my life back since all of my events are over. I love my job so at least being busy isn't that bad! :) We also went to the Kenny Chesney concert with the Hughes on Sunday. It ended up pouring down rain but we went anyways! I wish I had more pictures to show how much fun we had while be drenched!

- May 15-17 - Chris and I visited the Claunches for the weekend. We celebrated Kevin's birthday by going to College Station on Saturday and hanging out in downtown Brenham during the day. We are so blessed to have such wonderful friends like Kelley & Kevin. We always enjoy spending time with them! We also were able to hang out with the Grahams that weekend! So nice to see them!

- May 23 - We celebrated Eric's 30th birthday this weekend at the Hughes' new home. We ended up having icky weather but it was tons of fun! Happy Birthday Ger-Bear! :)

- May 27 - I received the best birthday present for my 24th bday this year! WE GOT A HOUSE!! woohoo! Chris and I started looking for a home at the beginning of May and fell in love with one we found in Keller, TX. We ended up closing on the house on my birthday. What an amazing gift! :) We are enjoying being homeowners and have been busy painting and getting everything set up.

- May 30 - Holt/Chase Wedding....Adam & Logan got married in Burleson TX this weekend. The wedding was beautiful and of course the reception was a lot of fun...

- May 31 - Chris' cousin, Dee, his mom & I threw a shower for my sister-in-law, Holly. She got so many cute things for little Cheyanne. I can't wait to meet my new neice! :) Holly is getting induced on July 29th...it can't come soon enough!!! :)

- June 6 - Chris' younger brother, Max, graduated from high school this weekend. We are so proud of him! He has grown into such a wonderful young man...and...he will be heading to College Station for college...woohoo...another Aggie in the family! :)

- June 13 - Lauren, Jenny, Jackie & I threw a surprise shower for the Penlands & the Martins! They were so surprised! We played a game where the husbands fed the wives baby food and they had to guess what they were eating as well as a game were the boys had a race to chug beer out of a sippy cup...so funny! :)

- June 14 - Our good friends Chris & Jackie Manack dedicated their son, Luke, to the lord and invited all of their close friends & family to witness in the ceremony. It was very neat and touching. They have the cutest little family! :)

- June 17 - Chris and I randomly decided to go to a Ranger's baseball game this evening. It was the game were Pudge Rodriguez set a record. He used to be one of Chris' heros so we couldn't miss it! Chris was also on TV....kinda! haha...if you look closely, you can see Chris on the left side.

- July 3-5 - We spent 4th of July weekend at Katie's grandfather's cabin. We go every year to watch fireworks and play games. We always rent a cabin and stay for a few days. It was incredibly hot, as always, but tons of fun, as always! :) I learned how to play a new game (I think it is called ladder golf) that I just love!

- July 9-12 - We went with the Martin's to visit the Penlands for the weekend. It was so nice to visit them since they are always having to come visit us in TX. Friday we went to Andrea's grandma's house to swim & lay out at her pool. Friday evening we hung out at the Riverwalk and ate at a great mexican restraunt. Saturday, Chris and I went to visit my grandparents since we haven't seen them in a while. Saturday evening we went to a baby shower for Andrea. She got so many new things! It is always fun looking at baby things..they are so cute! :) I can't wait to meet the little girls...Tatum Penland & Kaisley Martin!!

- July 12 - For work, I went to a Grand Prairie Airhogs baseball game. It was totally different than a Rangers game but just as fun. We are already planning on going to another one of their games. That evening, Chris and I decided to go to the Stoney LaRue/Jason Boland acoustic concert in Denton. It was WONDERFUL! :) We also met some very nice people and made new friends!
