Before this past May, I think I had been to MAYBE 3 weddings, including ones where I was the flower girl when I was little! BUT, since then, I think I have become a wedding PRO! The West/Martin wedding on May 19th started the whole "wedding season" for Chris and I!
May 19th, 2007 - Our best friends from high school, Katie West & Ryan Martin tied the knot at the Horseshoe Bay Resort on the most beautiful day of the summer!! They had a gorgeous ceremony right on the lake followed by the biggest party of the YEAR!! :) It was AWESOME!
June 30th, 2007 - Chris's cousin, Dee Walsh, married Joseph Woolison at a cute chapel in Denton (I'm pretty sure that's where it was). The wedding was beautiful and they looked so happy together. I am so fortunate to be part of that family now!
July 21st, 2007 - Ferris Eason is now Ferris Anderson after marrying her sweetie, Drew Anderson in Flower Mound, TX. They are the most adorable couple and I have never seen a bigger smile on Ferris' face than the one she had her wedding day!
July 28th, 2007 - Our good friends from college, Katie Rupp & Justin Abshire got married the last weekend in July in The Woodlands, TX. They had an amazing reception following the ceremony on Lake Conroe in a building right on the lake. It was beautiful and we are so incredibly happy for them!
August 5th, 2007 - Jason Penland and Andrea Bonner got hitched in Tulsa, Oklahoma and had a beautiful ceremony followed by a VERY fun reception at the Aquarium in Jenks, OK. Having the reception at the Aquarium was a GREAT idea and we had a blast! We are so happy Jason met such an amazing women at OU!! They couldn't be better for each other!
August 11th, 2007 - OUR BIG DAY!!! :) The day I married Christopher James Burnett...the best day of my life! We got married at Marty Leonard Chapel in Fort Worth, followed by our reception at the DFW Hilton Lakes in Grapevine, TX. I could not have asked for a more perfect day! Everything was great and we were blessed with all our family and friends (most of them at least) who made our big day even more special!
September 15th, 2007 - This is the next wedding we are attending!! My college roomie, Emily Rogers is marrying her prince charming, Colby Cox, in Dallas, TX. Their wedding is going to be at the chapel at SMU (which is absolutely gorgeous) then the reception will be at a beautiful mansion. I am so happy for them and cannot wait for their big day!!
December 29th, 2007 - One of my good college friends, Megan Hannes, is marrying Ryan Pervier right before the new year in West, TX. They are so perfect together and seeing Megan as happy as she is with him makes me smile! I know they will have a long, wonderful life together!
May 24th, 2008 - We will be traveling to the beach to go to Jessica Eulenfeld & Hollis Miles' wedding in Corpus Christi, TX. Hollis and Chris were roommates for 3 years in college so we became very close with both Jessia and Hollis and are so fortunate to have them in our lives. They are some of the most caring people I have ever met! They are also high school sweethearts...been dating for 8 years!! :)
May 24th, 2008 - Since we will be in Corpus this weekend, we will be missing the wedding of good high school friends, Jenny Downing and Jonathan Delay (also high school sweeties!!). We are very sad we won't be there to see them say their vows but our hearts will definately be there! They are so happy together and I can't wait for them to be able to experience God's blessing of marriage!
May 30th, 2008 - Another one of our best friends from high school has met a wonderful lady to marry and bring into our group of friends!! Josh Terndrup and Becca Mayhew will be tieing the knot this Friday in Nebraska, where Becca is from. They are such an amazing couple and could not be happier together. Becca is going to be a beautiful bride!!
June 7th, 2008 - Another one of my college roommates, Emily Jane Socha is marrying Chris 'Cheese' Cowen in Giddings, TX this weekend. I cannot wait until their wedding! It is going to be great! Before Emily Jane was even engaged she told me that she wanted to get married outside the Courthouse in her hometown, Giddings. A few weeks ago, she called to tell me her dream is going to come true and they are letting her have the ceremony on the courtyard of the Courthouse!!!
June 7th, 2008 - Unfortunately, we will not be able to make it to another wedding this summer since we will be in Giddings for Emily Jane & Chris' wedding. But, our friends Rebecca Rust & Andy Nash will be getting married in their hometown, Seguin, TX. We are sad that we will be missing this wedding because I know it will be amazing! They are also high school sweethearts and are so perfect together! They both have wonderful personalities.
August 2nd, 2008 - One of my best friends, college roommate, and bridesmaid in Chris and I's wedding, Kelley Phillip, is marrying the love of her life, and another one of our good friends, Kevin Claunch. We are so incredibly happy for them and cannot wait to go to the wedding!! They will be getting married in Galveston, TX and having the reception at a beautiful hotel right on the beach. They are absolutely perfect together and there couldn't be more of a perfect match!!
August 10th, 2008 - Two of our good friends, Andy Bruce & Amanda Miller are planning their wedding for this weekend. They aren't for sure about the date yet but are working on it. We are very excited for this wedding as well! They are thinking about doing a Sunday afternoon wedding. It will be perfect and I cannot wait for them to be husband and wife!
So...that gets us through summer 2008 with weddings!! And of course, there will probably be a few more that will we be adding to the list soon! :) Weddings are the BEST and I am so excited for ALL of them! Marriage is one of God's biggest & best blessings EVER!!
