We just got back from the best trip ever (other than our honeymoon!). Our trip to Burnet, TX was a compete success I would have to say! :) Everyone had an amazing time and got to enjoy time well spent with great friends. Chris, me, Lauren, Eric, the Abshires, Morgan, Erin, Kelley, Kevin, the Martins, Unruh, the Penlands, Jessica, Hollis, Heidi and Patrick all stayed at the Avonne Log Cabin Friday-Sunday. We were blessed with AMAZING weather which made the trip even better!
Sunday everyone woke up, we had another great breakfast and people started heading out. Chris, me, Katie, Ryan & Unruh stayed until about 3 pm and finally decided we should go home. I had to drag Chris away from the amazing cabin. As we were driving away, we all decided we were hit by "FUN hangovers". We want to go back already and we just got home! O well...I am already looking forward to next year's trip! :)
We arrived Friday afternoon and everyone else showed up throughout the afternoon. That night we all hung out, visited and enjoyed the beautiful cabin. The girls also took advantage of the hot tub. Morgan and then decided to jump in the pool....it was FREEZING!!
Saturday we woke up, had a nice breakfast and then went and strolled around the cove. We found a nice spot to relax and the boys played a little football. We went back to the cabin, had lunch then played some "Battle of the Sexes" and "Catch Phrase". The boys took advantage of the hot tub as well. Later on in the evening, we cooked dinner and made smores. We also played "Mafia"...it is a tradition! :) Stephen McGee and Boone Stutz came by for a while and played "Mafia" with us and met everyone. Chris was in heaven!! Getting to hang out with A&M's quarterback and a previous tight end made his night! Boone taught us his version of "Catch Phrase"....every time it buzzed on you, you had to call a random person from your phone and sing a song to them. That kept us entertained for a while! The boys played guitar for us...another little tradition that we love!
